Colony Club Wedding
This Colony Club Wedding was everything to me!
I’ll tell pretty much anyone who listens, how much I love my job as a Detroit Wedding Photographer. I love love and I especially love the visual storytelling aspect of it. Cementing a couple’s lifelong memories through photography is truly an honor. But, the thing that gets me the most is those couples who take me along on their journey. Tiffany and Ray had a gorgeous Colony Club Wedding with opulent gold details, there’s no denying it. However, I was there to capture the proposal, I was there to capture their engagement photos, and I was there to capture the moment they said I do. From proposal to husband and wife, I was by their side, filled with joy, every step of the way.
When the big day arrived, the elements on Tiffany and Ray’s wedding day were on point. Literally, everything was about them showing up in their unique personalities to celebrate their love for each other. Tiffany wore a custom-designed bridal gown that could put the very best ballroom gown hanging up at Klenifelds to shame! Her sleek off-the-shoulder gown had a stunning thigh-high slit. The details were shimmery with pearl and jewel-encrusted designs that were made to flatter the silhouette.
But the skirting, the skirting is where it was at! The ballgown skirting was fully detachable and hugged the bride's hips for the most dramatic effect. Layers and layers of gorgeous silk organza followed Tiffany with each and every step she took in her Louboutins. And when it was time to hit the dance floor? Well, Tiffany’s designer was at the reception and on hand to help the bride step out of the skirting so she could spend the night dancing with her husband.

As for Tiffany’s husband Ray, you might be wondering how his wedding day style matched his bride. And don’t worry, he absolutely had his moment too! Ray wore a silk blue dress jacket in a deep shade of royal blue. The jacket was adorned with a floral textured print and a black silk lapel. But his moment came when it was time for him to walk down the aisle. With a glass of champagne in hand and a cigar ready to light (after the ceremony, of course) Ray came out to a sea of family and friends who offered the groom fist bumps and cheers. It was such a fun moment, and you’ll get to see it in the photos below.
However, when it was time for Tiffany to make her debut and walk down the aisle towards Ray, he was overcome with joy at the sight of his gorgeous bride. His eyes welled up with happy tears, and I was reminded once again of how humbled I am to have been there to capture their story. Tiffany and Ray are some of the kindest people I have ever met, and their wedding day celebration (a family & friend-oriented event) was every bit filled with love.
