Fern Hill Golf Club Wedding
When two former scene kids plan a Fern Hill Golf Club wedding, you know it’s gonna be good! Adrianna and Ryan met all the way back at the tender age of 17. So, pretty much high school, and yes, they’ve been together ever since. In fact, I met Ryan when we were both taking a video class together in college and we became quick friends. He was involved in the same music scene and we shared heaps of mutual friends, Adrianna and Ryan together helped me out with running a local indie music blog. Needless to say, going into this wedding at Fern Hill Golf Club, I was super stoked. I was excited to see my friends get married, but I also knew the day and the details were going to be unique to them.
Adrianna and Ryan share an affinity for Halloween and they still spend their time together going to concerts. But, they also super love just hanging at home with their cats. They are truly unique individuals and they both still have a dash of that scene kid style. When I saw Adrianna’s strapless ballgown wedding dress covered (and I mean covered) with a layer of black tulle and black embroidered floral lace, I was so ready to get them married! PS: that dress was a whole vibe. By the time Adrianna made her way down the aisle, behind her two super funny flower sprinklers, the look on Ryan’s face was pure joy. He could not hold back the happy tears (sorry, Ryan!) as Adrianna approached the altar.

In all honesty, their wedding ceremony was one of the most emotional ceremonies I’ve ever captured. Filled with laughter, so so much laughter, and more tears, Adrianna and Ryan promised to love each other for the rest of their days. Or, more appropriately, ‘til death. They sealed their union with a kiss and I was off with Adrianna and Ryan to capture their wedding photos on the grounds of Fern Hill Golf Club.
The day of their wedding was bright and sunny, but the foliage on the grounds was perfect for creating shadows. Under the trees, in the grass, and on the wooden bridge, Adrianna and Ryan were covered by playful shadows that danced through the sunlight. I took this time to work with them on wedding photography that honed in on the essence of their love story. But also, Adrianna had some serious attire details going on. I could not ignore her purple engagement ring, and coffin nails (blue, thank you very much! - just like Ryans!).
When it was time to make our way to their wedding reception at Fern Hill Golf Club, Adrianna and Ryan’s grand entrance was done to the tune of ‘You Only Live Once’ by Suicide Silence. From there, they went right into their first dance which was ‘Good to You’ by Mariana’s Trench. But hey, what more can you expect from two “former” scene kids?
